Hi! I've been asked a few times for advice on glass, jewellery and bead related topics, so I finally decided to put a page together of hints and tips. I'll add more as I get the chance, but here's some info to get you started.
Q. How do you get your bead photos to have a white background?
A. I use Photoshop to adjust the pictures once I've taken them. To give a more in depth overview of what I do, and to help you do the same, here's a 3 page PDF tutorial for you to download, print and use as reference. I hope it helps.

Q. How do you alter the background of a bead photo?
A. I utilise a series of tools and commands in Photoshop to separate out the object from the image, then I adjust the colour or add elements to give the desired effect. This is a more complicated tut than the first, but here's a 4 page PDF tutorial for you to download, print and have a go at. Have fun.

Q. How do you fuse small pieces of Bullseye glass in an SC2?
A. This is my full fuse schedule and basic instructions for creating small cabochons, using Bullseye fusible glass in a Paragon SC2 kiln with a digital controller. All kilns and glass will vary slightly, but I hope this is a helpful starting point for anyone who wants to try it.

An A4 sized conversion chart to help you convert millimeters to fractional and decimal inches should you need to. Apologies if the text is a bit titchy, I originally laid it out as A3.
